REFLECTION

This plaster project was an amazing experience. As I worked on it I improved my problem solving skills such as figuring out how to create a stable structure that still resembles the sculpture I had in mind. I learned a few new skills along the way like plaster application and sanding. Not only that, but I’ve learned how to create silicon molds and plaster casting. What I loved most about the process was getting the sculpture down to a smooth finish. I definitely struggled in some areas, such as constructing the model out of chicken wire without having it fall over. I really like how my piece turned out and I think the only thing I would really change is the top loop, because I would’ve had it bend more like it was under stress which would enhance the feeling of dread.
